Insurance Premium Tax
Insurance Premium Tax is charged by the United Kingdom Government in a similar way to Value Added Tax. For Travel Insurance IPT is charged at a rate of 17.5% of the Gross Premium. The premium shown includes IPT.

You must have been living in the UK or Ireland for longer than 6 months when purchasing this insurance and must return to the UK or Ireland within the trip duration unless you have purchased a one way ticket. The UK is defined as England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
