Drakefield broker highly commended in national award

Drakefield Insurance Services Ltd, the UK & Ireland wide travel insurance specialist has been celebrating the success of one of the team, Lisa West who has been Highly Commended for the Insurance Age UK Young Broker of the Year awards.
The ceremony, held in a London venue took place on September 15th, now in its 11th year and is widely regarded as the most prestigious in the industry.
This is the second such recognition this year for Go Travel Insurance, having already picked up the Insurance Times’ Fastest Growing Independent Broker award for the East Anglia region.
Christian Young, Chief Executive of Drakefield Insurance Services Ltd said: “everyone here is proud of Lisa West’s nomination in the top four and subsequent ‘Highly Commended Award’ for the Young Broker of the Year. Lisa is a pleasure to work with and led the team that implemented the in-house claim service that went live on time on the 1st November 2005. Returning customers and referrals at an all time high too which clearly shows our customer focussed attitude."
The criteria for the award are as follows:
o The award is open to anyone working in the insurance industry under 30 on entry deadline 13 June 2006.o The award will go to the person who has made significant strides in their professional development over the past year, clearly demonstrating their contribution to the team or department in which he or she works and giving evidence of commitment to pursuing relevant professional qualifications.
The nominee, Lisa West, (28) has worked for Drakefield since 2000, and has been instrumental in the growth of the business in her role as Operations Manager. She said: "It is great to be shortlisted for this award and to be Highly Commended is a great honour. The company has supported my development since I joined and it is fantastic that I am part of a team which is helping to drive Go Travel Insurance forward."
