Response to Terror Alert

Go Travel Insurance, a leading online travel insurance provider would like to inform those planning to travel of the insurance implications in light of the increased terror threat at UK airports.

Go Travel insurance recommends that people wishing to travel in the short term talk to their airlines and tour operators - the general message certainly from BA and Ryan Air was that flights would be rearranged.  

The response by the government in these exceptional circumstance means that cover for delay resulting from this happening would not usually be covered by insurance, but again airlines are likely making arrangements for their customers delaying or suspending flights.

It is therefore important to ensure where possible passengers do not carry valuable items and carry only those that can be carried on board.
