Buy travel insurance online to avoid Royal Mail strike action delays
25 June 2007
Go Travel Insurance has urged people that are due to travel in the next few weeks to buy their travel insurance online to avoid severe delays caused by the planned Royal Mail strike on Friday (29 June).
Christian Young, chief executive of Go Travel Insurance, commented: “Buying insurance online will not only save you money thanks to a 10% discount for all policies purchased on our website, but it also means that you have peace of mind thanks to instant cover and policy documents which can be printed off at home.”
Young added that travellers can also protect themselves from the extra cost of losing a passport by choosing the right policy, something to bear in mind following recent passport charge hikes to £72 for a standard adult passport – the third hike in two years. The price increase does not just apply to new passports but also to replacements if they are lost or stolen.
Go Travel Insurance’s standard policy covers all expenses incurred whilst replacement passports and travel documents are obtained up to a policy limit of £250.
Go Travel Insurance’s policies start from £3.95 for single trip and £31.95 for annual cover.
