Consumer group Which? has named Palmair as the world's best short-haul airline in a new customer satisfaction survey.
Palmair was given a satisfaction rating of 80 per cent, when scored in terms of cleanliness, comfort and value for money.
Other airlines that fared well in the poll include Air Berlin, Wizz Air and German carrier Lufthansa.
Languishing at the bottom of the league was Thomas Cook Airlines, which achieved a customer satisfaction score of 37 per cent and was awarded just one star out of five for each category.
When it comes to budget airlines, it seems that easyJet is ahead of the rest, with a score of 59 per cent, compared to Ryanair's 47 per cent.
However, Ryanair clearly disagree with the rating they have been given. In a statement earlier this week the airline branded the Which members' survey as "useless" and "loony".
