Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon has been spotted holidaying in Paris this week, with her actor boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal and her eight-year-old daughter Ava.

The happy trio were in Paris to celebrate Bastille Day and for Reese's photo shoot with legendary celebrity photographer Mario Testino.

Pictured in the Daily Mail, Reese looked elegant in a floor-length black and white satin gown as she posed from the balcony of the Place de la Concorde.

The smiling star even took time out to wave to her fans between shots.

According to People Magazine the Hollywood couple dined in some of the city's most exclusive restaurants, including L'Avenue – on Avenue Montaigne – and the trendy Mariage Frères.

A city of spectacular beauty and cultural heritage, some of Paris' main attractions include the legendary Moulin Rouge, the Louvre museum, Disneyland Resort and, or course, the Eiffel Tower.
