The adventure holiday company Explore Holidays has launched three new novel travel packages for getting to grips with Malaysia.
Backpackers can grow acquainted with Sarawak in Borneo via the "Miri to Mulu" package, taking visitors on a tour of some of the top attractions between these two cities.
For example, a three-kilometre walk through the Mulu National Park will lead to the Deer and Lang Caves and their resident multitude of bats.
Travellers will also take in an Iban Longhouse and the Clearwater Caves' 100km underground water system with its rock art.
Alternatively, the "Wild Borneo" itinerary encompasses Kuching and Kinabalu, as well as the North Borneo railway and the Kinabalu National Park.
Finally, an "Island Hopper" programme provides the beauty of a Penang sunset and a cable car ride in Langkawi.
