Denmark's biggest film festival promises a real international flavour, with the screening of no less than 165 films from around the world.
Now in its 17th year, NatFilm 2006 takes place in Copenhagen between March 24th and April 1st, with some of the programming taking place in other cities Odense, Aalborg and Arhus.
Highlights will include '13' from Georgian filmmaker Gela Babluani, a violent noir thriller; and 'Naboer' from Norwegian director Pal Sletaune, an erotic horror with a controversial violent sex scene.
British films on show will include Michael Winterbottom's take on Tristram Shandy, 'A Cock and Bull Story', and Neil Jordan's 'Breakfast on Pluto'.
Bookending the international features will be films from homegrown Danish talents Pernille Fischer Christensen and Christoffer Boe. Christensen's 'En Soap' will open the festival, while Boe's 'Offscreen' will feature on the final night.
Films shown will compete for the prestigious Critics' Award, judged by a jury of international critics. The winner will go home with a cash prize of 3,500.
Last year's Critics' Award went to Jeff Feuerzeig for his documentary film 'The Devil and Daniel Johnston'.
