Going skiing or snow-boarding? – Get a great deal on travel insurance

There has never been a better time to enjoy a spot of late season skiing in Europe, it has been suggested.

According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, there is still plenty of time left to enjoy the slopes.

Al Morgan, information manager at the organisation, said that many tour operators have deals running until May.

"This is definitely the year to make the most of the excellent snow conditions. Skiing in March and April offers long days for skiing, sunny terraces for leisurely lunches and less people than the busy periods. Get out there if you can," he commented.

Some of the resorts open until the end of April include Les Arcs, Avoriaz and Meribel, while Val Thorens, St Moritz and Hemsedal are open through to May 2nd.

Budget airline easyJet said last month that their has been an increase in the number of Brits taking weekend ski breaks this year.
