The US's Carnival Cruise Lines has scheduled a one-off voyage of discovery for curvaceous "plus size women".

This is the second year the company is running its Figure at Sea itinerary, teaming up with the fashion title Figure Magazine to offer a celebratory and life-affirming weeklong experience.

The cruise will last from November 4th to 11th, setting off from Port Canaveral in Florida and stopping off at hot Western Caribbean highlights such as Key West and Belize.

When not soaking up the sun in these exotic tropical paradises, the women will be able to come together to take part in onboard seminars in areas such as fashion, health, fitness and positive thinking.

The cruise then culminates in the opportunity to model the latest plus-size fashions in a catwalk show aboard the Carnival Glory, advised by experts on the subject.

Amy Vogt, associate publisher of Figure Magazine, said: "The clothes, the lights, the glamour, the excitement...these are all the elements we are bringing to real life onboard this luxurious weeklong cruise tailored just for curvy women."

Belize is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world, its clear turquoise waters, coral formations and barracuda populations making it one of the top snorkelling and scuba destinations anywhere.
