Make Sure You Know Before You Go
1. Check for any risks associated with your destination. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is a great source of up to date country information and travel advice.
2. You should always obtain useful contact details for the country you are visiting such as the local British Embassy, High Commission or Consulate and carry them you at all times.
3. Get familiar with the local laws and customs of your destination and remember that the security situation can change rapidly. So monitor the news and check the FCO website regularly.
